Hi, Here is my problem: I would like to disable archiving for some ~500 users and delete theirs archives from EV 9.0.2. The problem is that Virtual Vault is still always present in Outlook folder tree and users are able to browse the vault cache. How to remove it for 500 users? Here is what i did (step-by-step): 1. Disable archiving for users from EV console. 2. Synchronize Mailboxes 3. Remove users from the Provisioning group 4. Run Provisioning task 5. Delete archives from EV 6. Uninstall Enterprise Vault add-in from user’s PC The Virtual Vault is always there… Please help!Solved3.5KViews0likes9CommentsUsing office 365 ProPlus 2016 with EV 10.0.4.1189

I have been searching for information on completely removing EV 10.3from a Customer environment. The Customer has only one EV Server (installed on the PDC) and Exchange 2010. It really doesn’t “fit” with the existing hardware configuration and their level of "internal support"in their environment, so we wanted to uninstall the product. I found an Article on uninstalling https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH50256.html but it does not indicate if/when/how archived messages are returned to the User’s Inbox after the uninstall. Does this Article cover everything, or are there additional steps needed to restore the environment to original operation without EV 10.3? Thank you kindly. Hi All, We are currently in the middle of an Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2013 POC & to date we have had some challenges in regards to the functionality of the Virtual Vault after the installation of Outlook 2013. Outlook 2013 installs without error. We then launchOutlook all looks well with the Virtual Vault in the navigation pane, however when you click on the Virtual Vault to expand the folder set you get the error message "Cannot expand the folder. The set of folders cannot be opened. An unexpected error has occured. MAPI was unable to load the information service EVMSP.DLL. Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured". To set the scene we have the current configuration on our POC test case machine - Outlook 2007 SP3 installed side by side with Outlook 2013 15.0.4649.1001: - Enterprise Vault Outlook Addin 10.0.4.1293 - Outlook 2007 SP3 user with Virtual Vault working as expected - Outlook 201315.0.4649.1001 with Virtual Vault, however cannot expand folder set because of the MAPI error above. In order to re-enable the Vault we have had to do one of two tasks below: 1. As part of the Outlook 2013 installation script we perform arepair of the Enterprise Vault add-in, which results in most cases of a working Virtual Vault upon completion of the installation ofOutlook. 2. By running the following commandrundll32 EVMSP32.dll,MergeEVMSPWithMAPISVC To my understanding the reason for this MAPI error is a result of the new installation of Outlook 2013 creating a new MAPISVC.INFwhere the Enterprise Vault services have not been registered. This then results in the Virtual Vault not functioning as expected. In performing one of the two tasks below this registers the service with MAPI, which results in a working Virtual Vault. What i would like to understand is if anyone in the forum has come across an issue like this & what approach you have taken to resolve it. Any insight, suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, ScottSolved4.9KViews1like5CommentsRecalling all archived files to original location and decommissioning server

Good afternoon, My co-worker recently installed Office 2013 64-bit on his Windows 7 (x64-bit) laptop. He installed the Outlook 10.0.4 CHF3 add-in and it is not showing up. Here is a list of troubleshooting steps that we've tried. -ResetEVClient.exe -Uninstalling/Reinstalling (running as Admin) -Checked to make sure Valkyrie.dll was in the EVClient folder and it was. -log off/log on and a reboot. I know that last year I had this issue, but I was working on so many other projects that I put it on the backburner and I remember it just showing up one day.2.1KViews1like4Comments
