restoring file from linux source to windows target; is possible?
Hi people: We are using NBU 10.x on windows 2022 media/master server (both roles same server). Have a mix of windows and linux clients. We need to restore a file from /wrk/app/app-baks.tar to a windows server on e:\wrk\app. My co-worker running this restore tells me that NBU GUI is telling that restore path is invalid. Tried e:/wrk/app but don't work. And seems that isn't supported. Any idea to accomplish this task ? Maybe UNC or and NFS on the same server? Hope to being clear.39Views0likes4CommentsRestore not working
Hello, I have a backup stored on disk of a WinServer 2019 VM that I am trying to restore; however, when i alter the VMs current state (ex add a new program, add a file, etc) and then restore to the backup point - the new "changes" i made are not wiped away. Even though the restore shows successful, I dont believe that it is if my current VM state (files, programs, etc) arent restore to what they were at the time of the backup. Ive tried overwriting and restoring files/volumes both from Files, folders or volumes as well as Complete online restore options, but have not seen what I want to see. Any ideas?525Views0likes2CommentsCatalogue jobs failed - data inconsistent on each tape?? V-79-57344-33994
Hello, i haveto restore an old backup (created with backup exec 10 i guess). For this restore i use Backup Exec 2010 R3 on Server 2008 R2. There are no entries for this backup in the catalog. So i loaded all tapes for this backup (20x LTO4 containing one backup) in my 24-Slot loader and inventorized them. After that i created catalogue jobs for each tape, starting with the first one. After 2 hours and about 800gb data the job on tape 1 failed with the error (translated): V-79-57344-33994 - Data read from media is not consistent. All other tapes failed with the same error. I can browse the data of the first tape and restore some of the items (others have a red cross). All other tapes are not in the catalogue, so i cant browse them. What i tried: * cleaning drive * checking statistic data for all tapes (0 errors) * Under BE Options > catalogue > disabled request all media in a row (translated) * enabled debugging May the first tape be broken? Is there a possibility to check the contents of all other tapes? I'm doing something wrong? Hi I want to automate a weekly restore of the most recent full backup of a SQL production database, to a development instance. The problem I'm having is finding the job ID of the most recent backup. I've tried usingbpimagelist bpimagelist -pt MS-SQL-Server -hoursago 48 -client Server1.com -idonly -st FULL but I can't differentiate between the databases that are backed up on that instanace. Does anyone kjnow how to do this, or does someone have a better way to automate the restore. Cheers AlexSolved690Views0likes2Commentsincomplete restore 2850

Since it is now unable to be brought up, I changed tape ownership to media server 2 after moved that tape to media server 2's tape library. I had rebooted master server and still same error occurred.1.4KViews0likes9Comments
