Forward Traffic from VCS virtual IP
Hello Experts, We have a two node active-passive VCS 6.0 cluster running in Solaris LDOM on T4-1 servers. Two virtual interfaces (Vnet0 and Vnet1)are configured from the control domain using igb2/igb4. vnet0 and vnet1 using solaris ipmp. The cluster IP is configured as a virtual IP on top of vnet0 as its comes online as vnet0:1. Out external connectivity must happen only from Cluster virtual IP on vnet01:1, but the network team informed that no traffic coming from cluster vitual IP. The firewall only receives the packets from the host IP which was configured on vnet0. Can anyone tell me , how to configure the VCS to forward the traffic from cluster IP to only a particular destination. We have configured the resources using MutliNICB/IPMultiNICB. Unable to bring the Service Group online.
Hi All, I tried to bring a SG online in a node but it's not comming online. Let me explaing the issue. We did reboot of a node aixprd001 and we found that /etc/filesystem is corrupted so the SG bosinit_SG is in partial state since lot of cluster FS in not mounted. Then we corrected the entry and done the manual mout of all the FS but the SG still show the status partial so we did the bellow command. hagrp -clear bosinit_SG -all Once done the SG is in online state. need to find rootcause for service failure in veritas clusster
Hello Guys, I need to find the rootcause for the service failure in our veritas cluster. service groups didnot failover to other node. CPI patches
hi, Sort.symentac.com suggested 5.1sp1 vcs needs to install some CPI patches. I am having trouble to understand why we need 3 different CPI patches? the instruction is not the most helpful. if i run what the readme say, it brings up the install menu (should i use the installer under SP1?), i have already installed SP1 and RP3 on the server. I can't see what the command does. i can of course read through the scripts but I am hoping someone can point out what all these CPI actually do and how to verify if the patch is successfully installed. Active VCS node fails when reboting passive node
Dear all, I've been asked to manage few asymmetric failover win 2003 systems with Veritas Cluster Server installed in one of this clusters i'm experiencing a failure (service restart and sometimes service freeze) on the active node when the passive one is rebooting. Looking the forums i found similar problmes was resolved with the lastServicePak, my system looks already updated: vxassist version = 5.1.20000.87 had.exe version: = 5.1.20024.495 haclus -value EngineVersion = 5.1.00.0 hasys -values NODENAME EngineVersion = 5.1.00.0 I'm just lil confused when i see all the above commands returning different versions is that correct ?. Do i need to install this SP2 ? Hi to all, we are trying to use ODM for Oracle Database Clustered 10g (NO RAC) with VCS 5.1 on RHEL 5.5 64bit. Referencing Symatec document Veritas Storage Foundation: Storage and Availability Management for Oracle and Databases for Linux 5.1. How to reach version 5.0.30.1
Hi ALL I need to add two more nodes to my cluster , the actual cluster is running has the following version: 5.0.30.1 If i install the VCS 5MP3 i juts get version 5.0.30.0 I need to know what patch can get me to the version 5.0.30.1 All of this is installed on a Solaris 10 sparc 64 bits Any idea which ones ??
