Hello All, I am trying to install netbackup client 8.1 on one of our Linux client machine and while proceeding for authorization token it has not accepted the token and the installation failed. Now i am trying it to degrade to netbackup client version 7.7.3& installation is getting failed.Posted below bptestbpcd output. Please help me out how to revoke that certificate and how to proceed for 8.1 or even 7.7.3. <16>bptestbpcd main: Function ConnectToBPCD(10.51.15.129) failed: 7648 <16>bptestbpcd main: Connection cannot be established because the host validation failed <16>bptestbpcd main: Peer host validation failed for INSECURE connection; Peer host: 10.51.15.129, Error: 8621, Message: Connection is dropped, because the host now appears to be NetBackup 8.0 or earlier..: 7648 Connection cannot be established because the host validation failed Thanks Gopi Krishna23KViews0likes13CommentsCompletely remove host certificates in 8.1
I have a customer that will potentially have hundreds of servers that will be used for a short period of time and then decomissioned. In NetBackup 8.1 I know you can revoke the certificate for hosts that are no longer active. However, this list will end up getting kind of messy. I've hacked around a ton looking at commands and directory structures and I don't see anything obvious. Does anyone know how to remove a host completly from the Host Certificate list? Thanks, Chris V.Solved23KViews0likes14Comments- 22KViews0likes7Comments
bptestbpcd A SSL socket connect failed:7625
Hi all, I need your help about this configuration. My master server is Windows 2012 R2. My client is CentOS 7.5. Backup failed with 58 status "can't connect to client". From client, bptestnetconn is OKAY From master, bptestbpcd fails : bptestbpcd -client xxxxx <16>bptestbpcd main: Function ConnectToBPCD(xxxxx) failed: 7625 <16>bptestbpcd main: A SSL socket connect failed A SSL socket connect failed bptestbpcd -client xxxxx -verbose <16>bptestbpcd main: Function ConnectToBPCD(xxxx) failed: 7625 <16>bptestbpcd main: A SSL socket connect failed <16>bptestbpcd main: A SSL connect failed. Status: 1 Msg: certificate verify failed : 7625 A SSL socket connect failed So I'm searching in the certificate side but commands to test it are good : /nbcertcmd -getCACertificate CA certificate stored successfully from server mymaster ./nbcertcmd -getCertificate Host certificate and certificate revocation list already exist for master server [mymaster] ./nbcertcmd -listCertDetails Master Server : mymaster Host ID : e3b3b597-5212-4134-8a41-28503477b683 Issued By : /CN=broker/OU=root@mymaster/O=vx Serial Number : 0x45ae62300000008f Expiry Date : nov. 20 10:44:25 2019 GMT SHA1 Fingerprint : F7:D3:EA:75:D5:1E:00:CE:C6:2A:1B:CD:F8:74:95:47:67:D4:9A:3A Operation completed successfully. I don't know where I can find any solution to resolve this error. I've certainly forgot any configuration. Can you help me ?16KViews0likes4Comments- 15KViews0likes2Comments
EXIT STATUS 61 (the vnetd proxy encountered an error)
Hello everyone, I'm facing an issue during a backup of a policy type DB2. The backup jobs are started by a script on the client (RHEL 6.6 and NBU 8.1.1). The error is the following: Jan26,20209:41:16PM-Errorbprd(pid=23436)Unabletowriteprogresslog</usr/openv/netbackup/logs/user_ops/dbext/logs/27107.0.1580071151>onclient client_name.Policy=policy_name Sched=NONE Jan26,20209:41:16PM-Errorbprd(pid=23436)CLIENT client_name POLICYpolicy_name SCHEDNONEEXITSTATUS61(thevnetdproxyencounteredanerror) Normally this kind of backup creates 5 different jobs. In this case I have 4 jobs successfully completed, but the last one has failed with the message above. I checked in the mentioned path and I found that there is a log file for each process, including the one failed, so I can't explain the why of the error message. This is the content of the log file of the failed job: cat 27107.0.1580071151 Backup started Sun Jan 26 21:39:11 2020 21:41:16 INF - Server status = 61 Do you have any idea? Hi there, We found a really old catalog backup in the Catalog which should long be expired. When trying to expire it in the GUI it says Backup image expiration cannot be modified because its SLP processing is not yet complete (1573). Doing this from commandline it says about the same (of course). When trying to cancel its replication it gives also an error: # nbstlutil cancel -backupid<Imagename> Operation not successful: status = 220 (database system error) According to Marianne in a previous issue 220 means 'no image found'. The image is still active in a way: # nbstlutil list -backupid <Imagename> V7.6.0 I <Masterserverhostname> <Imagename><Masterserverhostname> 1384237218 prd-cat-netbackup_catalog 7 0 zm_catalog_slp 3 false 1384242929 *NULL* 1 {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000} 0 0 1384237225 V7.6.0 C<Masterserverhostname> <Imagename> 1 2147483647 1385360418 <stuname> 1 0 0 0 0 *NULL* 2147483647 0 2147483647 0 0 0 1 1 V7.6.0 F<Masterserverhostname> <Imagename> 1 1 0 aaaa2 <Mediaserverhostname> *NULL* 0 6 1 3488240640 0 aaaa2 *NULL* 1;DataDomain;<>DDhostname>;<diskpoolname>;<lsuname>;0 Now I am kind of stuck.Solved13KViews0likes16CommentsOracle Online backup -ORA-19506: failed to create sequential file
Our master server is linux (v 8), however this issue is occurring with an Online oracle backup of a Windows server. The Policy shows as Oracle. Up until a couple days ago, it has never had any problems. The Backupschedule is failing with: "6) the backup failed to back up the requested files" The on_database_ schedule is failing with: "Apr 3, 2018 2:44:12 AM - Info bpbrm (pid=21239) INF - Client read timeout = 18000 Apr 3, 2018 7:44:12 AM - Error bpbrm (pid=21239) listen for client timeout during accept from data listen socket after 60 seconds Apr 3, 2018 7:44:40 AM - Info dbclient (pid=0) done. status: 54: timed out connecting to client" An Oracle DBA checked it from her side and this is the error she sees: "RMAN-03002: failure of backup plus archivelog command at 04/04/2018 03:08:29 ORA-19506: failed to create sequential file, name="_20180404_25316.p1_s26287.r", parms="" ORA-27028: skgfqcre: sbtbackup returned error ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text: VxBSACreateObject: Failed with error: Server Status: Communication with the server has not been initiated or the server status has not been retrieved from the serve RMAN>" Any ideas? Hi all, I'm trying to install and configure new Windows filers failover cluster on Windows 2012 R2. I've installed client on both Windows server. Access them from admin console is OK. When I want to add virtual name of this cluster on policy, I've received this error : "Unable to connect to Netbackup host" When I look in client properties, I've see that : "The vnetd proxy encountered an error". I've read few guide, but I've not see any recommandations about this trivial configuration. Any idea ? ThanksSolved10KViews0likes14Comments
