netBackup Validation or verification Options

Hello 

We use Netbackup 8.1.1 in a windows 2012R2 environment.   Master server is media server as well.

Other then performing RESTORE TESTs is there any Netbackup command to perform a Verification or validation of what I backed up to Tape is exactly what was on the Volume/Share from the network.

Client is asking for a Validation or verification..   

Please advise if anyone has any ideas..   I cant seem to find anything other then performing restore test which we do on a regular basis for other clients..

    NBU Verify will compare tape contents with NBU catalog, not with original data.

    There is nothing within NBU that will do that.
    We trust that Status 0 means that everything in the Backup Selection was backed up.

    I think he's asking for a verify of the backup, you can do it withing catalog, check images and then run 'verify', a verify job will appear in the activity monitor.
