Adding Netbackup appliance to existing netbackup plateform
Hi All,
Is it possible to add a netbackup appliance working as master server to an existing plateform which has a netbackup master server installed on a physical server and 4 media servers ?
or it is better to have only one master per plateform and in this case the appliance will work as media only ?

There is only one Master per domain by architectural design. If you are adding an appliance to an existing domain, it would be a Media server. If you are looking to migrate your Master to the appliance and retain the current hostname, catalog, etc., that would require assistance from a partner or Consulting to migrate the Master to the new appliance.
- It's one Master per environment. If you want to hook it up underneath the other Master, you're going to need to reimage the appliance first.
