failed disks
Hello, We have an appliance 5250 S series with two shelves 2u12 we get 2 disks failure (1 disk on each shelf), a hot spare drive from each shelf has replaced a failed disk we have opened an SR with veritas and they are shpping two new disks our question is the following : what is the situation if another disk get failed before we recieved the new disks? knowing that the volumes are pre configured with raid6 , does the data will be lost ? Flex OS version 3.0 is not really compatible with 10.3.0.1 NBU version?
Hello, We are aware that the flex OS version 3.0 is not compatible with NBU version 10.3.0.1 however we have this scenario that we are required to upgrade the NBU Primary/master server to version 10.3.0.1.The primary/master server is BYO (physical server, not an instance of that flex appliance) but the disk pool is one of the instance of that flex. If we proceed to upgrade the primary/master server, Do you know if the backup and restore will not be working after upgrade since they are not compatible? Note: We have currently issue with flex OS upgrade to the latest one that's why upgrade of OS is not possible right now.Flex Appliance 5150 OS reimage
Hi, I have a unit of Flex 5150 which is already out of support. Someone before me had it totally wipe out, only left the IPMI boot shell. I'm trying to reinstall the flex OS for this machine. I have tried to follow the steps here https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/doc/130821112-140800124-0/v141989313-140800124 , however it seems there are more steps than those listed in the link. Can someone give me some proper steps / guides to achieve this.
Feature Request - VMs Nutanix Protection Policy Backups to tape
Hi i did a successfull configuration of Nutanix Protection Plan on WebUI to protect some VMs on Nutanix Cluster Enviroment. When i´ve tried to select tape library as a secondary destination, for long term retention it´s not possible. According on the Veritas official documentation tape storage is not supported as final backup destination: https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/doc/130706365-133278127-0/v130721947-133278127 OpenStorage is required or S3 cloud repositories. My company cannot contract cloud services easyly, so we need backup VMs to tape for long-term retention. I would request the feature to do automatic Nutanix VMs backups from disk to tape.
External certificates for WebUI in appliance 5.1.1
Hello, I have an appliance 5240 in version 5.1.1 MR4 with primary server role configured and I want to configure and external certificate for WebUI. In this tech note: https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/doc/96220900-156917520-0/v140481817-156917520 is explained how to generate the CSR (Settings > Security > Certificate > CertificateSigningRequest > Create) but I need the CSR file to generate the private key. Does someone know where is located? Did someone achieve to install an external certificate in this appliance model/version ? Thanks.
